GOL NEWS

The company is responding to demand by expanding its service from São Paulo to Caxias do Sul, Passo Fundo and Chapecó, and from Florianópolis to Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

GOL Linhas Aéreas has created a special network of flights to serve the southern region until the end of May. In solidarity with the people of Rio Grande do Sul, who are experiencing a situation of public calamity due to the floods that have affected the entire state and have closed Porto Alegre Airport (POA) for an indefinite period, the company will offer new flights to its customers at the airports of Caxias do Sul (CXJ), Florianópolis (FLN) and Passo Fundo (PFB), as well as prioritizing the operation of larger aircraft at Chapecó (XAP).

As of May 14, two additional flights per day will be available to the capital of Santa Catarina, one from Congonhas (CGH) and the other from Galeão (GIG). Florianópolis has been one of the main points of support for customers affected by the cancellations in Porto Alegre, and was chosen because of its air and ground infrastructure to receive more passengers and cargo. In Florianópolis, the company's offer will increase by 15%.

In Passo Fundo, which is currently served by up to three weekly flights to Guarulhos with 138-seat 737-700 aircraft, GOL will increase its service by the end of May with daily flights operated by 737-800 aircraft with 48 more seats per flight. During the same period, GOL will increase the number of seats in flights to Passo Fundo by 195%. GOL is also awaiting the approval of additional flights from Congonhas to Caxias do Sul (CXJ).

On all additional flights during this period, GOL will also carry donations in the hold of the aircraft, which will be transported by land for distribution in the cities of Rio Grande do Sul affected by the floods. With the measures adopted to increase supplies, the availability of cargo and supplies in the hold of the aircraft will increase to up to 670 tons.

The company has already flown an additional flight with passengers and also received donations collected by the Civil Protection of São Paulo on Monday, May 6, between Congonhas (CGH) and Caxias do Sul (CXJ), with 4.5 tons of blankets, mattresses, water, clothing and Internet antennas. On Thursday (09/05), the company operated its cargo plane in partnership with Mercado Livre at the Canoas (RS) airport. Water, medicine, clothing and toys were among the 20 tons of donations transported.

Ticket rebooking for flights to or from Porto Alegre and Pelotas

Customers who wish to rebook their flights to or from Porto Alegre (POA) or Pelotas (PET) airports can do so through the Company's website, with the possibility of leaving the value of the ticket in the Company's credit or receiving a full refund, as well as waiving the rebooking fee for rebooking on Company flights. It is also possible to transfer the booking to bases in the South, such as Florianópolis, Passo Fundo, Caxias do Sul and Chapecó.
