Traveling from American Airlines?
Go through the menu and see the main rules of this partner company GOL:
Packing
The baggage allowance is honored by GOL only for flights issued on the same ticket. For flights issued separately (purchased individually), even with a partner airline, the baggage allowance will not be honored. In these situations, the baggage allowance and rules for each purchased segment will apply.
It is not possible to purchase checked baggage in advance through digital channels. The purchase must be made directly at the counter of the airline where you will be checking in and will be honored until you reach your final destination.
Excess baggage payment
In case of excess baggage, the excess amount can only be paid at check-in, directly at the counter.
Fragile items
Fragile items are accepted as long as they are properly packed. However, if the product is damaged for any reason, the company is not responsible for reimbursing you. See the Air Carrier Contract for more information.
Perishables
Perishable items are not accepted. For more information, please contact the consular or customs offices of the destination and transit countries.
Transport of infant items (0 to 2 years of age)
When traveling in their own (reserved) seat, infants are entitled to the same checked baggage allowance as an adult. If they are traveling on your lap, they can check in one piece of baggage up to 10 kg.
A complimentary allowance of 1 stroller (for use) and/or 1 baby carrier will be provided.
Baggage Claim
Your baggage tags must indicate your final destination.
If traveling from North America to a destination in Brazil, connecting passengers must claim their baggage at the first connection in the country (Brazil). After the required customs procedures, the customer must go to the GOL counter to reclaim the baggage.
If the customer is traveling to the United States, in the case of connecting passengers, the baggage must be collected at the first stop in the country (United States). After the obligatory customs procedures, the customer must go to the counter of the company operating the next flight to reclaim the baggage.
Lost baggage
In the event of lost baggage, the responsibility for registering and monitoring the status of the baggage file lies with the last airline to transport the passenger. If baggage is found to be lost when connecting international flights to domestic GOL flights, the customer must open a baggage case with the airline that transported them on the previous leg.
Damaged baggage
In the case of damaged baggage, the customer must contact the last carrier to open a baggage claim. If the damage is from an international flight to a domestic GOL flight, the case should be opened with the carrier of the first leg.
Carry-on baggage
One piece of carry-on baggage is permitted with dimensions that do not exceed 55 cm in height, 35 cm in width and 25 cm in length, including pockets, wheels and handles, and a total weight of up to 10 kg.
All electronics must be carried as carry-on items. Laptops, cameras, cell phones, camcorders and tablets must go through the airport's X-ray machine at the entrance to the departure lounge.
Valuables such as jewelry and cash must also be carried as carry-on items.
It is forbidden to carry in hand luggage: bladed weapons, firearms, cartridges and ammunition for firearms, printer cartridges, bottles with more than 100 ml of liquid, fuels, batteries with electrolytes, lithium batteries with a capacity of more than 160 Wh, fireworks, bombs, paints, chemicals and mercury thermometers.
